The layout is about confusing and takes alot of walking around the get used to but there is always a lot of passenger carts going around picking people up so if you don't want to walk you don't have to. The swim up bar and pools are amazing. so are the in room services and buffets.

Grand palladium consists of 3 resorts In one. Very large and spread out. Taking the hotel shuttle is a must to go from one resort to another. Accommodations are basic nothing to brag about. Clean rooms but in need of renovation as it's showing its age. Basic room with 1 or 2 beds, not very comfortable. The bathrooms only have tubs with shower and awkward to get in and out. If you have mobility issues this will be a problem trying to get in and out of the tub. Or bath the shower the water was leaking out from the wall and in the bedroom floor. We were going to move rooms but was too much of inconvenience to pack all our stuff up. The hotel grounds are very nice and kept clean. The staff for the majority were very nice and pleasant. The food at the buffet for breakfast was really good and lots of choices to chose from. We ate a few times dinner at the buffet which was good, but preferred the Al a carte. Would recommend the italian, the Brazilian and Mexican(they were our favorite). We also did a seafood dinner on the beach which we paid extra for ,definitely worth the money (mix of lobster and steak). The beach was beautiful and clean and hardly any seaweed and not over crowded. Used the pool a few times as well but prefer the beach. Didn't see any of the shows as the entertainment place is over at bavaro suites side and quite far. We stayed mostly at our resort or the palace to watch some nightly entertainment.there are few shops and stores at the resorts. Over all our trip was relaxing with some minor issues and inconveniences. We didnt do any day trips as we wanted to get away and relax. We will come back to punta cana but will try a different resort next time as we like to stay at different places. The transfers to and from the airport only is about 25min. We fly with air transat from Toronto.
