Beautiful island shame about the resort

I traveled with my two daughters to Ocean Blue and Sand resort for two weeks from 1/9/24-15/9/2024 . Positives: The hotel is absolutely spotless, nearly everywhere was cleaned to a good standard . The staff were lovely on all levels being respectful, kind and professional . The beach was lovely and there was no real issue regarding seaweed as it was removed daily. The garden and grounds were beautifully kept and well maintained. The coffee shop was very good and a lovely place to relax and have some really good coffee. Negatives: This resort is nowhere close to a 5* establishment on so many levels. The food is below par from the main buffet and the so called al a carte restaurants where on two occasions at the Italian restaurant I was served meat and chicken that was raw in the middle. I couldn’t even say any of the al a carte restaurants were good they all failed to deliver anything near to what I would regard 5* Although our room was very clean it was tired and dated and the curtains need replacing and the room needed refurbishing completely. The terrace was quite large but with 2 plastic chairs and a small table this wasn’t in keeping with that 5* experience we were sold. Another grievance was that there was no food served around the pools or on the beach so we had no choice but to go to the buffet for lunch. Again not the 5* experience we were expecting. The swimming pools which again were very clean but damaged in places e.g loose/missing tiles which some had sharp edges which I caught my feet on several times. The pools really need maintenance. Our overall holiday did not meet our expectations on any level this complex shouldn’t be listed as 5* it’s more 3*

Beautiful beach and accommodations. Very clean, good food. Nice pools. Good ?? Great entertainment. Jorge blue such a great dancer and entertainer. Highly recommend this 5 star resort! Great for adults and family's. Close to airport. 30 min drive. The Michael Jackson show was really good!
